These are portraits by Steve McCurry. I really admire them because they're very sharp and you can see a lot of detail in the people's faces, particularly the first one. 

I love the colours of the first picture, the woman is wearing colourful clothes which I think really makes the picture. 





The second portrait he's done isn't as colourful, if anything it's actually quite dark. However I admire the simple background he's chosen, it has good texture to it. I also like the positioning of the woman, it's just her head and shoulders and I like that in a portrait because you can just focus of their face, and that's what I want to do with my portraits.
